Our Story

‘Good design is good business and we will help you “make green pay”’

S+A was founded in 2006, by Judi G. Schweitzer, built on a solid foundation of decades of multidisciplinary planning, design, economics, and real estate development expertise, and a passion to advance sustainability in the built environment; to “move the needle” of “business as usual”; to advance best practices and lessons learned in sustainable ECONOMIC real estate development; and to prove the industry, clients, stakeholders and students, that “good design is good business”.

Judi and the S+A Team strive to create projects that are innovative, economically viable, environmentally responsible, and socially valuable for today and tomorrow. 

S+A’s 15-year history is marked by assisting numerous legacy landowners, investors, agencies, and utilities - envision, design, and development exemplary sustainable communities that serve as models of excellence, which are replicable, cost-effective, and innovative.

The S+A Team has grown to include experts in climate resiliency, policy development and stakeholder engagement. .
